The dilemma of human being2016-12-23

Darwinism is a theory of biological evolution. And it was developed by the English naturalist Charles Darwin, stating that all species of organisms arise and develop through the natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the individual's ability to compete, survive, and reproduce. This theory deeply effected the history of the human being. On the one hand, it has positive impact on the process of human, like stimulating the development of the human society and people getting better life; on the other hand, is also brought negative effects: the conflict between races resulting to war, the genocide, the worse environment, the threat of nuclear weapon, the lack of resources, the failure of ethics and the crisis of confidence and so on.

There is no denying that the competition can boost the development of the society. But the competition for survival can never be peaceful and be of manner. It is the problem about living or death. So it can lead to the immoral competition and the sacrifice of the weaken innocent. Interestingly, the spokesman of human being is loudly maintaining the love and empathy for the weak group. They compete with each other for living. And they show empathy to each other for loving. The rules of the game of human are so complicated and, more interestingly, there will never be a definite boundary between what is right and what is wrong. It is such a funny dilemma, right?

Thanks for Hongmiao's impressive introduction and views. To speak frankly, when i first learned about Darwinism, I quite agree with Darwin. Because I notice that the memo about survival of the fittest, discomfort eliminated case is almost happening everyday in our society. However, when I entering BFSU, I began to learn more about our society. And also, I made friends with some students who believed in Marxism. They raise up a point of view about that since Darwinism was created by the western world and the capitalist, its justified the rationality for the capitalist. Because the capitalists have the capital to develop themselves for further, for example acquiring the better education and bordering the horizons by traveling around the world. They are more easier to become success comparing to the poor. And according to Darwinism, we can say that the capitalist are the fittest one, and the poor are discomfort one who should be eliminated. However, sometimes we fail to notice that the poor will fail easily because that they don't have the capital to support them for further development such as receiving education and so on. So by this means, I doubt about the Darwinism to some extend. Is it created to justify for the capitalist?

I quite agree with you, Han Yi! The complication of the nature of human being will emerge when the environment, or other people or other races in the environment, become the obstacle of their living. When they feel the threaten from outside towards their rights, they will show some unfriendly or even evil side of the human nature. It is understandable.

As we all know, Darwin’s theory of evolution has much practical significance: survival of the fittest, discomfort eliminated. The pace of social progress and development are always tied together with the pace of evolution. In the fast progress of society, the fierce competition leads to lots of bad environment of the whole society such as insincerity corrupt morals, binge drinking and so on . Before being involved in competition, such bad environment was what most people sniffed at most. While, when they are involved in the fierce competition, in order to adapt to this society, they must learn to how to adapt bad things. And even someone may do what he did not believe he should do before. Thus, the complex humanity was fully appeared.
